17 years old, 5’10 220 lbs, 2 months later 180 lbs. and a lot of faith. After sitting in my house self-consciously going out to seek help for my weight problem, so I tried to research for a teenage weight loss plan. The secret to a teenage weight loss plan is that it jumpstarts your metabolism. Your metabolism determines how fast your body can burn fat. Being a teenager, most are active and have a high metabolism, so most weight loss plans just automatically assume this and plan around it. That’s where it goes wrong the most, you have to eat according to your metabolism. You can’t overeat and you can’t undereat. Both result in you gaining weight. Why does undereating make you gain weight? Well, because when you’re undereating, you can never get that “full” feeling, which is why you’re constantly hungry and it’ll only be a matter of time before you burst and tuck into your favorite treats. That’s why a teen weight loss plan focuses so much on your metabolism.
After 3 weeks of eating carefully I lost 22 lb (7 lbs. per week), which made going out in public a breeze. I felt like I had a lot more energy and I also noticed that I was becoming a lot less self-conscious. My friends started noticing that I was losing weight, which is always nice to hear. Before being on a teenage weight loss plan, talking to friends at school or in public felt very awkward, I felt like I was constantly thinking about what they thought of my appearance.
Losing weight has always been a struggle for me and now I feel like I have it locked down. My results have been great, I feel great and in my eyes I look great. In total I lost 40 pounds which is a thrill for me to lose in such a short period of time. My plan is to continue what I have been doing and lose another 10-15 pounds and then start toning my legs and lower stomach area, but currently 40 pounds. in 2 months is more than enough for me!
