The Apple iPhone limits the user to a total of 11 visible home screen pages. In this article, we’ll look at a secret technique that’s circulating on the Internet that will allow app-aholics to squeeze their apps into more than 11 visible pages.

1. What About Folders?

Some of you might ask, why not use the “folder” concept available in iOS 4 operating system. That way, you can bury some of your apps within those folders and save screen real estate.

That is all fine and good – however, you are still limited to 11 pages of apps, even with the folder concept. Also, some users I know don’t really like the concept of folders anyway. So what do you do? Read on and find out more…

2. Consolidate All Your Apps

So let’s move right along. The first thing we want to do is to assume you – the app-aholic – has already consolidated 11 pages of iPhone apps. If you have any additional ones, these will not be displayed on the iPhone screen. They are hidden in iPhone limbo somewhere.

3. Move Default Apps To The Last Page

The next thing to do is to identify a set of default apps you do not use like “Weather,” “Stocks,” “YouTube,” “Audio Memo,” etc. Move these to the last page (i.e. the 11th page). And yes, it’s true – I know many users don’t really use “Weather” or “Stocks” which are provided by default on the first home screen page.

4. Drag An Icon From the 10th to 11th Page

The next step is to take one icon from the 10th page and drag it over to the 11th page. What this does is to the last icon on the 11th page to be booted off the page and into the iPhone limbo!

You can now just download another app and replace that empty space on the 11th page you just created. What this does is to also magically create a 12th page for you. All your “hidden” apps will now be seen on the 12th page. You’ll also find that if you repeated the same steps above, you can make a 13th page.
