7 Sure Foundations For Ultimate Security

Decay in society always begins within and works outward. Like cancer, we have become morally and spiritually bankrupt. Years of our Christian heritage being systematically eroded are destroying us. When a nation’s debt is more than its Gross National Product, it is bankrupt. Denying these facts will not make them go away. In this sad condition, our securities are dying a horrible death.

Do we deny? Have you ever wondered why this generation is degenerating so alarmingly in morals and materials? Why are the things that destroy us the things we don’t want to think about? Why is it considered a hate crime when anyone talks about the exclusive salvation message of Jesus, The Holy Bible, prayer in the name of Jesus, Christian family values, eternal judgment for sinners, our duty to serve the True and Living God, special creation, the Bible flood, sexual perversions or murder of innocent babies? In this article, we will show the answer to these questions as we explain the “7 Sure Foundations For Ultimate Security.”

Foundation 1 – Abundant Life! Life begins at conception is the basis for respect for all life. If we are not secure in the womb, there is no room for the other 6 sure foundations for ultimate security. When this fact is accepted, we are well on our way to eliminating the erosion of our present moral and spiritual values.

We tell our girls and women that they are no higher than animals, instead of telling them that they are made in the image of God. We say that people are “human resources” that can be disposed of at will if they cease to be useful. To add insult to injury, we kill their baby if their baby is a nuisance. Must we sacrifice the fruit of our womb for the sins of our own doing? There is something wrong with this whole picture.

Besides, who is to say what constitutes an abundant life? Who are we to think that we can overestimate the love and grace of God in the most dishonorable way people enter this race of life? Where would we be if our parents wanted a “perfect” child?

Another thing, an abundant life is not measured by how much we have, how popular, how powerful, how intellectual or how beautiful we are in public! It has to do more with Who has our time, our talents and our treasures. Abundant life comes from inner peace that holds us together when everything around us is falling apart. It frees us to enjoy a joyful existence that remains in the most difficult circumstances. It gives us a healthy perspective that is based on who we are in Christ Jesus. Yes! You heard it right! Who we are in Christ Jesus, our Merciful Lord and Savior!

Every person deserves to have an abundant life that comes only from our Heavenly Father above, who extended His love to us through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16 and John 10)

Foundation 2 – Freedom From Paralyzing Fear! Fear is a killer. Fear is a robber. We don’t know how to tame it. We try to tame fear with drugs. This does not free anyone from fear. It’s true – drugs reinforce fears. Our so-called “resources” add to the fate of the peoples. The general attitude is – who cares? Such people are of no use to our human resource mindset. Rather than getting them the help they need, we institutionalize them. We condemn them to confusion, loneliness, delusions and hallucinations for the rest of their lives. We let the public pay for our failure to appease the fearful. What kind of security is this?

THERE IS A BETTER WAY. (2 Timothy 1:7) Some have found it. That’s it! Fear is in opposition to faith. Not that all fear is bad. Fear becomes evil when it robs us of the other securities we deserve. We should be afraid when it comes to trifling with God and His Word. The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. ( Proverbs 1:7 and Proverbs 9:10 ) A loving relationship with God will cast out all fears. (1 John 4) Without a healthy fear of the True and Living God, we fear people, circumstances, today, tomorrow, yesterday and the list goes on.

Every person deserves freedom from paralyzing fear. Faith in God’s love and mercy is the key that unlocks the chains of paralyzing fear and ushers us into the glorious freedom of life.

Foundation 3 – Freedom to Grow In The Grace and Knowledge of Jesus! Our life should not be a slave camp for taskmasters to use and abuse. No person or organization has the right to enslave anyone else. No one has the right to fool someone so they can control it. No one has the duty or permission to force others to go against their conscience or their better judgment. (2 Peter 3:17-18)

To grow and produce good fruit, a tree must be given proper sunlight, temperature, soil, space to expand and pruned in the right seasons. In God’s time everything has its season. Everything is beautiful in its time. ( Ecclesiastes 3 ) We can grow a healthy society only when we receive the sunshine of God’s love and grace; the temperature of God’s assurance that He cares for His own; the ground of faith, hope and redeeming love; the space to expand our roots into new opportunities that are freely given to us and a gentle pruning away from destructive lifestyles that drain us of our strength to bring forth the fruit of God’s Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5)

Everyone has different potentials for growth. When citizens have freedom to grow to their full potential, the whole society grows with them. The God who created us knows how to raise us to our full potential. No man has the right to play god. We are all on the same playing field. Every person deserves freedom to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.

Foundation 4 – A Godly Legacy Passable to the Next Generation! This heritage includes parents who love God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength (spiritual life). From this love, love comes out for their neighbor as they love themselves (political life). There must be a selfless love that puts God and others above ourselves. This love is shown in actions and attitudes. This love must grow. Children deserve parents who model love for and to them. Every family should have a family altar. The family that prays and worships together will stay together. Everyone should have a home that supports and disciplines themselves for the good of themselves and others throughout life’s journey.

As goes the family so goes society. Nothing can replace one man united to one woman in holy matrimony for life. This brings comfort to the children and eliminates divorce. Thus, every person deserves a divine inheritance that is carried to the next generation. (Colossians 3; Ephesians 5 to 6:4)

Foundation 5 – The 7-Fold Values of New Life in Christ Jesus gives us:

1. Pure Heart! The heart reflects the real person. Man speaks from the heart. A pure heart has pure motives and actions. Only those with a pure heart will see God. (Matthew 5:8) When we have a pure heart, we can see God in the face of a child, in a beautiful flower and in every season of life from the cradle to the grave. When our heart is not pure, we cannot see God. The truth is, a person with an impure heart hides from God. (John 3:17-21) When we have a pure heart, we are happy or blessed. Why should we be? Because we know where we came from, how we got here and where we are going when we leave this world! We are content to trust God as we go singing in the sunshine or the rain. We know that some “walk through the water, some through the flood, but all through the blood. Some through great sorrow, but God gives song, in the night season and all the day.” We know, “weeping may last a night but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5; 1 Timothy 1:5-14)

2. Strong Constant Faith! There are three things that are absolutely necessary to prevent us from self-destruction. We need faith, hope and love. When these are lacking, death ensues. If left in this condition, we will not live to enjoy the blessings that God has for us. We can have all the comforts of life, but without these three life will self-destruct. We deserve better than this. Moreover, this faith must be anchored in the everlasting love of the Lord God of Glory, Who can and does care for our every need. (Matthew 11:28-30) Why? Because He is the only One Who is “the Way, the Truth and the Life” with a strong arm to guide us on life-giving paths. (John 14:6)

3. Knowledge of the Truth! The truth is what will free us from hidden deceptions that lead us into all kinds of hurtful traps. These are in all areas of our life. These deceptions teach us to follow fairy tales rather than the raw facts. If you are not free, you are probably following one or more of these fairy tales. God wants you to be free. The source of truth is The Christian Bible. (Psalm 19 and 119) In the Bible, we find the truth about God as the Creator of everything, the fall of the human race into rebellion against God, God’s plan to bring us back into His fellowship, and the way we must. love God and others. (Romans 3:4)

4. Continued Hope! Building our hope on anything rather than the truth we find in God’s Holy Word will not last forever. (Ecclesiastes 12)

5. Good Conscience! God gave us a moral compass that we call “conscience”. If it is properly nourished, it will guide us from harmful actions and attitudes. This will enable us to live a life of righteousness and true holiness. It will help us develop personal convictions that are not for sale. It will give our life purpose and stability to face every decision with confidence and assurance that we are doing the right thing. A good conscience flows from a pure heart. An evil conscience flows from a carnal spirit. A bad conscience brings guilt, fear and regret. It will destroy our peace, love, relationships, values, hope, faith and faithfulness to God and others. When our conscience is weakened and silenced, it creates a hardened heart that only looks out for its own selfish interests. To the extreme, it produces tyrants, reprobates, perpetrators of hate crimes and heartless murderers. Every person deserves a good conscience for the good of all concerned. (Romans 8)

6. Peace of Mind and Conscience! When we know that all is right with God, we can enjoy perfect peace. (Isaiah 26)

7. Enduring Love! This love can only be given by the Holy Spirit of God. (Romans 5)

Foundation 6 – Safe Haven From the Storms of Life! Spiritual and emotional security are our greatest needs. We can have all the physical comforts and still be without love, hope or faith. The safe haven should have a “map” for it. A safe haven is of no use if it is “hidden treasure” without a “map” to find it. The problem is at this very point. Many of the “maps” in our modern society have all been dead ends. They promised a lot but delivered little or nothing. Thank God there is a “map” that will lead us to our safe haven. This “map” is The Word of God, The Holy Bible. Jesus as our Savior and Lord is our safe haven of rest from all the daily storms. The promises in the Bible are trustworthy. There are examples that show how and how not to remain under the mighty hand of God in the pages of the Bible. God gives us assurance that all is right between Him and our personal relationships with others. (Psalms 91 and 103)

Foundation 7 – A Loving, Personal Relationship with God and God to Glorify! This is obtained through God’s work of redemption which is the main message of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This is the main cornerstone that underpins all our securities. Without this security we will fail to have the security we deserve. (Matthew 5-7)

In short, those who rebel against God and His way of life are in a state of denial. They don’t want to face the fact that we are headed for eternal ruin. They would rather let the world, the flesh and the devil rule over them for their own destruction. Why? People love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil. Until our nations make the change as written in this article, we will need far more security than money can buy. If we want true security, it is our duty and responsibility to take the FREE gift of eternal life offered to us by our Creator Redeemer God.
