Law Of Attraction – Secrets To Fast-Tracking Your Manifesting Abilities Part 2
Concept #2A – Trust that whatever happens is meant to happen and is part of God’s plan to bring you what you desire
When things happen to us or others that we don’t understand or don’t want, we often get upset. We tend to always want to know “why” something is happening. Why did the child get cancer? Why did the tsunami happen? Why didn’t I get the promotion? What did I do wrong?
One of the biggest addictions in thinking we have in our society is thinking that if something “bad” happens (ie something we consider undesirable) it must be someone else’s fault, including God. We often feel that it is a matter of merit. For example, we think that a smoker deserves to get cancer, but a vegetarian yogi does not. Our thinking here is actually wrong.
Things happen for a reason…yes. I believe, that. But we won’t always know the reason And often no one is to blame! It’s not about whether they deserve it or not. Everyone deserves it equally. Hitler deserves love just like you and me. You deserve wealth just like Donald Trump. I encourage you to let go of thinking about how you think things should be and instead believe that everything is perfect just the way it is and has a divine purpose.
Often you can’t know the “reason” for what happened, so what I do is make it up! Yes! I will come up with a reason that makes me feel good! And that leads to a life of peace. Here is an example.
My shoulder was bothering me. I hurt it somehow. I don’t know why exactly, but it hurts. The pain makes it difficult for me to perform some of the skating moves that my partner James and I do together on the ice. I wish it was completely comfortable? Yes of course! but it’s not right at the moment. So I came up with a series of “stories” that serve me and help me find peace with my current situation:
1. Shoulder pain reminds me to take good care of myself. Eat well, get enough sleep – so I’m grateful for that reminder
2. Shoulder pain tempts me to use my Mind Power tools to practice purposefully bringing my mind into a positive state despite the disability. So I’m grateful for that reminder
3. Shoulder pain is an opportunity for me to reframe my negative thinking like “It’s taking too long to heal” and instead focus on thinking “my shoulder is healing exactly as it should for my highest good”. I am grateful for the reminder to check my negative thinking.
4. Shoulder pain gives me an opportunity to practice asking others for help. So I am grateful to be able to practice receiving.
5. The pain in my shoulder gives me the opportunity to do business with my massage therapist, who I enjoyed getting to know better and we became very close. So I am grateful for this deeper connection.
Bottom line, when something “goes wrong” in your life, come up with a great story about why it’s PERFECT for you right now! You can also because firstly you can’t control every aspect of your life and secondly you can feel good about your life. Feeling good will help you manifest what you want much faster! In other words, look for the gift in all circumstances
Concept #2B – Understand that everything is a made-up story, so you might as well make up a story that works for you.
As my teacher likes to say, nothing has meaning except the meaning we give it. My teacher, T. Harv Eker, tells his students to wear “awesome” glasses. Through these amazing glasses, everything you experience is, well…amazing! Everything that happens to us is perceived by the universe as neutral. It is neither good nor bad. it just is.
It is WE who perceive and think what is happening is good or bad and label it as such. The key: don’t believe everything you think and perceive!
Here is an ancient Chinese story that appears in the book, Happy for no reasonwritten by Marci Shimoff, head teacher of the hit film The Secret:
An old farmer worked his fields with a horse. One day the horse ran away, and when the farmer’s neighbors sympathized with the old man over his bad luck, the farmer shrugged his shoulders and replied, “Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?”
A week later, the horse returned with a herd of wild mares, and this time the neighbors congratulated the farmer on his luck. His response was, “Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows?”
Then when the farmer’s son tried to tame one of the wild horses, he fell and broke his leg. Everyone agreed that it was very bad luck. But the farmer’s only response was, “Bad luck, good luck? Who knows?”
A week later, the army marched into the village and took away all the young men they could find. Seeing the farmer’s son with a broken leg, they let him stay. Good luck? Unhappiness? Who knows?
As you can see, we can never know.
See everything that happens as impersonal. In this way, you leave a more peaceful existence. In this peaceful existence, you manifest your dreams much faster because you are not resisting what is in front of you. And you exercise, yes you exercise, feeling joy and satisfaction because you have made a meaning out of your current circumstances that makes you feel good. You are raising your vibration. Everything can be AWESOME if you choose to!
In the next article, I will discuss the third concept of how to manifest what you want more quickly through gratitude.
