The Mysterious Storyline Behind Sonic Adventure 2
The plot begins with a mysterious black hedgehog robbing a bank. After managing to break free from the confines of the security helicopter, Sonic jumps down into the city streets. Suddenly, a mysterious black hedgehog appears in front of Sonic and grabs the Chaos Emerald from his hand. Soon after Eggman announces to the world his desire for world domination, strange incidents begin to occur. For fans who just started following Sonic in his adventures, they should know that Eggman is actually Dr. Robotnik. Sonic gives Dr. Robotnik is nicknamed “Eggman” because he is shaped like an egg. When Sonic realizes the relationship between Shadow and Dr. Eggman, he sets out on his adventures to prevent the evil plan from coming to fruition.
In this particular edition, the Blue Blur teams up with Tails and Knuckles. Looking for a top secret weapon, Eggman broke into the security of a military base. He later discovers that the top secret weapon is actually a black hedgehog that claims to be the ultimate life form. The black hedgehog is known as Shadow. Just as Eggman and Shadow begin to execute their evil plan, a bat named Rouge offers her help. Thus begins their plan to conquer the world.
To win this sound game, the Blue Blur must catch up with Shadow so that Dr. Eggman’s plan of destruction cannot be accomplished. The characters in Sonic Adventure 2 are Sonic, Shadow, Miles “Tails” Prower, Dr. Robotnik, Knuckles and Rouge.
There are a number of items in Sonic Adventure 2 including High Speed Boots, Invincibility, Ring, Shield, Magnetic Shield, Extra Life and Health. High Speed Boots will increase your character’s speed for 30 seconds. The Invincibility item makes your character invisible so the enemy can’t see them. Also avoids hitting the character. You cannot lose its rings or die with this item. The Ring Box comes in a group of 5 rings, 10 rings and 20 rings. If you have already collected 80 rings, the ring box will help you get a 1-up.
Shield is a regular shield like StH2. If you are hit, the shield will lose its power on you, but you will not lose your rings. The magnetic shield works like a Thunder Shield. Thunder Shield can be used to collect nearby rings. Extra Life is shaped like a head and gives your life an extra 1-up. Health has the ability to restore a character’s health to 100%. All in all, this is one of the most exciting Sonic the Hedgehog games ever made.
