What is the Best Month to Conceive Or Get Pregnant With a Baby Boy? I’ll Tell You
I get a lot of questions asking me to pinpoint the exact day, month, and sometimes even time that offers the best chance of conceiving a boy. I must tell you that I strongly believe that if you tweak and monitor things as you should, the month doesn’t matter as much as you think (although the timing in reference to when you ovulated and when your acidity went down can play a huge role, which I’ll explain later .) However, there is some research that indicates that there are some months of the year that produce more boys than girls. I will explain more below.
Why more children seem to be conceived in the winter months: An Italian research study looked at birth rates from 1995 to 2001. They found that the summer months produced the most boys (though not by much) and that September to November was the best time period to conceive boys, October being the birth period. the best of the three.
Specifically, within the limits of the study, of the 1,000 babies conceived in October, 535 were boys and 465 were girls. There were more girls conceived in the summer when 487 were boys and 513 were girls. Researchers have suggested that more children are conceived when there are twelve hours of daylight per day and an average temperature of around 55 degrees.
So the optimal month for you will vary depending on the climate where you live. If you live in Florida, you will have very different results than if you live in Alaska. The thinking behind this meteorological theory (according to the researchers) is that this is nature’s way of ensuring that more children are born in the summer months. Since the child producing sperm chromosomes and the boys themselves are thought to be weaker, being born in the summer would save these vulnerable youngsters from harsh winters, at least in theory. Again, the climate you live in comes into play here.
What to consider if you’re trying to conceive a boy regardless of what month you’re dealing with: I completely agree that you need to consider the vulnerability of the sperm-producing child. It is an important part of natural gender selection. But, you can modify and manipulate this in any month. If you’re diligent about this, it shouldn’t matter if you’re in the summer or not. As long as you do what you can to protect the comparatively weak sperm-producing boy and make sure it’s these guys that get to and fertilize the egg, that’s your real goal. And in my opinion, it doesn’t really matter if that happens in May or October.
First, you want to address your ovulation and you want to time your conception around it. You have to be very precise when trying to get pregnant because we’ve already established that these little ones are weak. So we know they can’t successfully wait for the egg. If they try, many of them will quickly begin to die or be weakened by their vaginal environment. So you want to have the egg waiting on the sperm. This means conceiving AFTER ovulation. Get a very reliable ovulation predictor tool (I like saliva) and make sure you use it when you’re actually trying to conceive. If you haven’t gotten a very clear positive yet (where you’re not guessing), wait the few days it takes for that to happen.
You may remember that I talked about the child’s sperm being vulnerable in your vaginal environment. That’s why you need to change it. You need your PH to be very low because these surroundings are friendlier to the sperm-producing boy (acidity is not his friend) and this can theoretically extend his life. You can use pH testers to tell you if you are already low or high. So you can change your reading by eating a low pH diet and taking showers using ingredients meant to address exactly what your reading was.
Also, you can complete both of these steps at any time of the year. I strongly believe that doing these things correctly to counter the weakness I discussed matters more than what the calendar says.
