Your Kids Can’t Hide The Liquid Multivitamins
As parents, we quickly realize that our children do not want to do what is good for them. Frankly, we’re not that different in that respect, but at least we can understand the long-term benefits. Eating well and taking vitamins is not a priority if you are a child. But it is a high priority for us as parents. And I’m sure I’m not the only mom who thinks her kids aren’t getting the full nutrition they need from what they eat. Even with all the cereal with vitamins and other kid-friendly foods, I still worry that it’s not enough.
While scouring the internet trying to find a good alternative for my kids, I came across a story about a mother who cleaned out her son’s room and found a large ball of gummy vitamins under his bed. She had evidently been putting the vitamin in her mouth after her mother had given it to her and then tucked it under her bed to create a sort of mountain of vitamins.
This reminded me of a story my sister-in-law told me about being given a daily supplement as a child. She would pretend to take it every day, but in reality she was throwing her pill behind the fridge. Her mother never noticed until the day they moved and took the fridge with them. When they removed the device, all the pills were unswallowed. Oh, the frustrations of trying to do the right thing for your children!
