Madlyn is the clearest movement-based unlock. The developer's patch notes changed Walking Toward Danger from 3,000 metres to 2,000 metres in one game. Use movement-speed upgrades, avoid unnecessary stops and finish the run after the achievement triggers.
For Ernesto, use the Onion object whenever it appears and keep playing until the cumulative total reaches 500 kills. The developer states that this requirement works retroactively for earlier Onion kills.

Which outlaw should you choose?
Choose Serra if you are learning the stop-to-shoot rhythm. Her plan is easy to read: create distance, stop long enough to fire, then move before projectiles or enemies close in. Damage, attack speed, critical chance, pierce and bounce are sensible priorities.
Choose R0B3RT if you lose runs while moving. The turret gives you a second source of pressure and lets you reposition without completely abandoning damage. Keep the turret near the active fight when possible, because a stationary summon cannot help much from off-screen.
Choose Ollin or Natoko when you enjoy active ability timing. Both reward players who are comfortable treating cooldown reduction and dashes as offensive tools rather than emergency buttons.

There is no verified One Piece crossover roster in this game. Searches for “piece characters” usually mix this title with One Piece bounty databases. The relevant cast is Greenhill's outlaws and later heroes, not anime characters.
Ollin is the character most likely to be called a secret character because his requirement is unusual: reach 50% cooldown reduction or lower. He is not a paid secret code character. Roger is also easy to miss because he is purchased through the Black Market rather than unlocked by a boss.
For “new character” questions, distinguish update and platform. Steam officially announced Mitchel in March 2026 and Richard and Sisyphe in the August 2025 announcement.
