Separate permanent changes from seasonal and expansion-owned features

The 3.0 skill-tree, level-cap, Torment, itemization, loot-filter and map-overlay changes are permanent base-game updates. Skovos, Paladin, Warlock, Talisman, the Horadric Cube and War Plans require Lord of Hatred. Pandemonium Ruptures and Deathtoll Chambers belong to Season of Death Awakening. A page that mixes these three layers can send a player to a feature the account does not own or the realm no longer supports.

Patch notes are cumulative evidence, not a single evergreen rulebook. Read the newest relevant entry first, then use 3.0 or expansion launch notes to understand the system's original purpose. A class value copied from a preview, PTR or launch build must not be presented as the current live number.
