Current answer

What players need to know now.

Diablo 4 is Blizzard's always-online action RPG for Windows PC, Xbox One and Series consoles, PlayStation 4 and 5. The current product line includes the base campaign, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred; the second expansion added Paladin, Warlock, Skovos, War Plans, Talisman and the Horadric Cube. As of this review, patch 3.1.2 is live and Season of Death Awakening began June 30, 2026. A durable starting plan is to choose one class loop, finish the campaign content you own, reach level 70, then select endgame activities by the reward your build actually needs.

Low-regret route

Six decisions before copying a build

  1. 1

Choose a class for the combat rhythm you enjoy; Paladin and Warlock require Lord of Hatred, while Spiritborn requires Vessel of Hatred.

  2. 2

Use a leveling setup that functions with ordinary drops instead of a finished Mythic or Talisman set.

  3. 3

Complete the relevant campaign and unlock the systems tied to your ownership before following an endgame checklist.

  4. 4

Reach the level-70 cap, then raise difficulty only when kill speed, survival and rewards all improve.

  5. 5

Farm the activity that owns the needed reward—boss keys, Cube materials, Uniques, Obols, gems or experience.

  6. 6

Record patch 3.1.2 and the Season of Death Awakening before trusting a ranking, loot table or imported filter.
